Extended Open

Extended Open is an alert that is intended to notify the user that a door was left open for an extended period of time.

Causes

This alert will trigger when a door is open past its latch interval plus the extended open threshold. If a door is forced open thus bypassing the latch interval, the alert will trigger after the extended open threshold alone.

Physical Requirements

To utilize this alert, a door sensor will need to be installed and enabled in the access point’s settings. If Door Sense is not enabled, the alert will not work.

Setting Up

1. Install and enable the door position sensor.
2. Enable Door Sense on the Access Point for which you want to receive alerts.

3. Navigate to the Alerts page, then to the Alert Settings tab.
