Areas

Areas are “containers” which are used to segment a Pure Access tenant for administration purposes.

• Areas are not used for designating access control; configuring them is optional.
• Areas should only be used if administrative segmentation is needed to protect the security of the system.
• Areas should be planned before the system is fully configured since every object in a Pure Access tenant must be assigned to an area (by default, everything will be assigned to a “COMMON” area).
