The Sync Report allows property staff and integrators to identify which devices on a property have or have not been successfully synced since a specified date and time. This report is useful in a variety of situations, including:

  • Tracking sync progress after a lost master credential when syncing has been interrupted.
  • Monitoring Wi-Fi devices to confirm they are checking in on schedule.
  • Verifying that all devices have been synced following a migration from Engage to Zentra.

Running the Sync Report

  1. Navigate to the Reports page.
  2. Choose Sync Report from the Report drop-down menu.
  3. Set your desired filters from the drop-down boxes (see “Filters” below).
  4. Click the Run Report button.
  5. To download the report, click the download icon and select either Download as CSV or Download as PDF.

Filters

The Sync Report can be filtered by the following:

  • Start Date & Time — Select the date and time to use as the starting point for the report. The report will evaluate syncs relative to this point.
  • Sync Type — Filter results by sync method:
    • Not Synced — Lists devices that have HAVE NOT been successfully synced via BLE or Wi-Fi since the selected date and time.
    • Wi-Fi — Lists devices that HAVE been successfully checked in via Wi-Fi since the selected date and time.
    • BLE — Lists devices that HAVE been successfully synced via BLE since the selected date and time.
  • Devices — Filter by one or more individual devices.
  • Device Group — Filter by one or more device groups.
  • Area — Filter by area, consistent with other reports in Zentra.

Report Results

The report displays a list of devices matching your selected filters and report logic. If a device was synced multiple times since the selected start time, the most recent successful sync time will be displayed.

  • Device Name
  • Device Type
  • Last Sync Time (most recent sync since the selected start date/time, if applicable)
  • Sync Type (Wi-Fi or BLE)
  • Area

Scheduling the Sync Report

The Sync Report CANNOT currently be configured as a Scheduled Report, allowing it to be delivered automatically by email on a recurring basis. This will be addressed and fixed in an upcoming release.
