If you try to add more devices to your tenant thant your current license will allow, the software will not allow you to add the device until the license is updated or a device is deactivated.

Adding Schlage devices from the web app

When adding an RC through the Engage mobile app AND the license is at its limit

  • Device will still exist in the Engage app, but will not be added to PAC.
  • History event will be created showing that Device Limit Exceeded.
  • The RC will attempt to connect 1x every 5 minutes moving forward, generating the Device Limit Exceeded history events every 2 days, until one of the following occurs:
  1. The license type is updated to be larger. If this occurs, the device will automatically be added to the site upon its next attempt.
  2. A device is removed/deactivated. If this occurs, the device will automatically be added to the site upon its next attempt.
  3. It is deleted in the Engage MAPP. If this occurs, it will stop attempting to check in/connect.
  4. No toasts or pop ups will be generated in the WAPP during this time.

Adding a wireless lock through the Engage mobile app (Update from Server)

When adding a wireless lock through the Engage mobile app AND the license is at its limit, upon hitting Update from Server from the MAPP, the following will occur:

  • Device will still exist in the Engage MAPP, but will not be added to PAC.
  • History event will be created showing that Device Limit Exceeded.
  • If the user hits Update from Server multiple times, the audit will only be generated once upon the initial attempt.
  • Once the license type is updated to be larger, or a device is removed/deactivated, the lock will automatically be added to PAC the next time Update from Server or Sync with Engage is initiated.
  • No toasts or pop ups will be generated in the WAPP during this time.

Adding a wireless lock through the web app (Sync with Engage)

When adding a wireless lock through the Engage mobile app AND the license is at its limit, upon hitting Sync with Engage button in the Web App, the following will occur: * Device will still exist in the Engage MAPP, but will not be added to PAC.

  • History event will be created showing that Device Limit Exceeded.
  • If the user hits Sync with Engage multiple times, the audit will only be generated once upon the initial attempt.
  • Snackbar/Toast will appear in the WAPP stating: You have reached the maximum number of access points allowed for your license size. Please contact your integrator/installer to upgrade your license.
  • Once the license type is updated to be larger, or a device is removed/deactivated, the lock will automatically be added to the PAC the next time Sync with Engage is pressed.

Adding legacy ISONAS devices from the web app

When adding a legacy ISONAS device via Connect Now:

  • Snackbar/Toast will appear in the WAPP stating: _You have reached the maximum number of access points allowed for your license size. Please contact your integrator/installer to upgrade your license. _

When adding a legacy ISONAS device via Connect later:

  • Snackbar/Toast will appear in the WAPP stating: You have reached the maximum number of access points allowed for your license size. Please contact your integrator/installer to upgrade your license.
  • History event will be created showing that Device Limit Exceeded.
