The door position sensor (DPS) indicates whether a door is open or closed. Using DPS allows certain events at the door to be tracked and trigger alerts and audits.
DPS is supported by the following locks:
When DPS is enabled, you can also use Door Prop Delay (seconds) to trigger an audit and an alert (if configured) when the door is held open for longer than the Door Prop Delay setting.
For certain Schlage devices (NDE, LE, RC) when DPS in enabled, an audit will always be generated when the door is opened past the specified amount of time (default = 20 seconds).
This audit can be turned off using Configuration Settings for the Schlage RC, but not for other devices.
These audits are now generated for the wireless and offline devices and when sync’s occur, the audits will appear in the history, but will not generate an alert.
